Agia Paraskevi is a great resort for anyone looking to visit Skiathos. It has amazing beaches, a lovely village and close proximity to Skiathos Town. Couple that with fantastic hotels and your on to a winning location for a holiday.
What Will You Find In Agia Paraskevi
It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that you will find a gorgeous beach called Aghia Paraskevi. The beach actually takes it name from from a nearby church. This blue flag beach is lined with tavernas and restaurants and has bed for hire. It is a very good beach for swimming and for families as it is fairly shallow and and deepens very gradually. Speaking of safe for families the beach also has a resident life guard, just in case.
The local area consists of a few tavernas and shops for basics. However, it is in an ideal location to be able to get around the island to other larger resorts such as Koukounaries or Skiathos Town.
Getting Around From Agia Paraskevi
Like all the resorts in Skiathos, Agia Paraskevi is on the south coast of the island and along the amin tourist bus route. It is in fact stop 16. To the west is a 10 minute bus ride to Koukounaries and to the east a 20 minute ride to Skiathos Town. Skiathos is such a small island that no matter where you stay you will find it easy to get around to other resorts and make the most of your time during your stay.
Where to Stay
The obvious place to stay in Agia Paraskevi is the very luxurious Skiathos Princess Hotel. It is a 5 star luxury hotel with all the amenities you could need such as gym, spa and even a kids club. couple this with the amazing views that surround it and you may not even want to leave the resort. However all the luxury does come at a 5 star price, but it is worth it. It is also worth noting that it is Bed and Breakfast and has a bar on site as well as table tennis amongst other things.
If you would prefer to spend a little less on accommodation to keep more in your pocket for moussaka and pittas then you will definitely want to take a look at Villa Anna Maria. This 2 star Trip advisor favourite doesn’t come with all the modern luxuries but does return all the charm of a family run hotel. Just 300m from the beach and only 10 rooms it does give you that more personal touch.
