achladies beach

Bus stop 10 on the south bus route will take you to Achladies Beach. Achladies is a nice resort with two supermarkets, a few taverna’s and an amazing bakery.

The beach at Achladies is a superb example of the quality of beaches you get on Skiathos. It has beautiful clean sands, crystal clear waters and is set up with sun beds costing only 8 Euros for two beds for the day. Often there is masseurs walking up and down the beach offering their services for various massages.

On the beach front you will find a fantastic beach bar/ taverna called The Maniatis gardens which offers good food, cold drinks and free wi-fi. One day a week they have a traditional Greek night and often have live music.

At the other end of the beach is Paradise Taverna which offers superb food through out the day with excellent service. TOP TIP – don’t be fooled by the Euros on the floor by the entrance, they have been super glued to the floor.

As Achladies beach has such great waters, it has its own water sports centre. Here you can partake in a number of activities such as being pulled around the bay by a speed boat whilst sitting on an inflatable, jet skiing or snorkelling.

Achladies is fortunate enough to have a water taxi to Skiathos Town so it makes quick work of getting back and fore there. just in front of the Taxi pier is a little shopping selling beach toys, towels, sun cream and cigarettes.

If you are not staying in Achladies, take the time to spend an afternoon here. It is well worth the trip.
