I am a little slow on the update but the Holiday price for 2017 have been announced and you can now start booking ready for your 2017 summer holiday to Skiathos. As with all holiday destinations, massive saving can be had if you can travel outside of the school holidays.
The first thing I notice about the olympic holiday offering is it is far cheaper to start you holiday on a Friday, with saving of up to £150. For Example, one week at the Filokalia flying on the 26th July (Wednesday) comes in at £683, wait two days and you can get the same holiday for £534 (these are both based on flights from Gatwick).
There are no All inclusive offers, but half board is available at 7 hotels and Bed and Breakfast at a few.
With Thompsons only flying out on Tuesday and Fridays, there is little difference in the prices, however, Friday flights are slightly cheaper.
Thompsons also offer the one all inclusive hotel on the island, the Skiathos Blu. A week here at the end of July will set you back £1067 per person flying from East Midlands.
Whilst I have previously seen rumours that Ryanair were looking at adding a Skiathos route, I havent heard anything else about it and I dont think it will happen. However, LoloFlights are still confident of having the backing to have their route up and running for 2017. Watch this space.
